I'm Ivan, owner of Swanson Design & Construction. Before starting my company, I spent years working hands-on in construction, earned a degree in Civil Engineering, and ran a residential design and construction business. After moving to North Carolina, I spent two years working for one of Charlotte's most respected deck-building companies before opening my own business.
Today, I'm a North Carolina Licensed General Contractor. For the past five years, I've focused on building decks, porches, patio covers, pergolas, and other outdoor living projects throughout the greater Charlotte area.
I personally manage every project from the first consultation through the final walkthrough. I prepare estimates, obtain permits, coordinate inspections, and oversee construction myself. And don't be surprised if you see me cutting deck boards or working alongside the crew on your project-that's exactly how I run my business.
